Islamic State war minister killed in Iraq — media

Sheet al-Samarrai was killed along with eight other IS militants in an Iraqi air force raid in the Nineveh province in the north of the country

KUWAIT CITY, April 27. /TASS/. A top commander of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization has been killed by Iraq’s security forces, Fars news agency reported on Monday.

Sheet al-Samarrai, who is described as a "war minister" of the terrorist group, was killed along with eight other IS militants in an Iraqi air force raid in the Nineveh province in the north of the country.

The liquidation of al-Samarrai deals a heavy blow to the terrorist organization that controls parts of Iraq and Syria. Last week, several media reported that IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi died from a sustained injury.
