Militia forced to respond to Kiev’s fire - DPR leader

BERLIN, April 25. /TASS/. Head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko said Kiev "has not fulfilled a single point of the Minsk agreements."

"First of all, direct contact with us should have been established," Zakharchenko told the German magazine Der Spiegel in an interview. "This has not happened up until now."

Asked about the situation with heavy armaments withdrawal, the DPR head said: "If we pull back our armaments, and the other side opens fire on us, we have to respond. Isn’t it logical?"

"That’s why heavy armaments are returning to the old positions," he said.
