Protesting miners block Kiev's central street

The miners who launched an indefinite protest three days ago complain that the government neglects their demands

KIEV, April 24. /TASS/. Over 500 protesting miners have headed from the Ukrainian parliament's headquarters to the Energy and Coal Minnistry, a TASS correspondent said on Friday.

The protesters demanding dismissal of Energy and Coal Minnister Vladimir Demchishin and repayment of wages debts blocked Kreshchatik, Kiev's central street.

The miners who launched an indefinite protest three days ago complain that the government neglects their demands.

"But we will stand firm to the end," miners say.
