Belarus leader says supports Georgia's territorial integrity

TBILISI, April 23. /TASS/. Belarus supports Georgia's territorial integritiy within the internationally acknowledged borders, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday.

"The position of Belarus on this issue remains unchanged," Lukashenko said at a joint news conference with his Georgian counterpart, Georgy Margelashvili.

"Otherwise, I wouldn't have come to Georgia," he said.

This is the Belarusian leader's first visit to Georgia since both countries gained independence.
