KIEV, April 22. /TASS/. Around 50 high-ranking officials have been dismissed from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, acting head of the service Zoryan Shkiryak told 5 Channel on Wednesday.
"At the moment, around 50 officials of the highest echelon have been dismissed - heads of regional departments, their deputies and others," Shkiryak said.
Since the beginning of April, the acting head signed more than 1,000 requests on lustration checks of State Emergency Service employees.
The service’s former head Sergey Bochkovsky and his deputy Vasily Stoetsky were detained on March 25 on suspicion of corruption. Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said the investigation will be made into the activities of all State Emergency Service regional departments.
