OSCE mission comes under Azov battalion’s shelling in east Ukraine - media

No casualties have been reported, according to preliminary information

MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. Team members of the Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (SMM) of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) came under shelling in the village of Shirokino from the positions of the Ukrainian Azov volunteer battalion, an unidentified informed source told the local Donetsk news agency on Saturday.

"Today at about 3.00 pm local time, the Azov battalion opened fire on the DPR positions [self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic] near the village of Shirokino where the OSCE mission carries out monitoring round the clock," he said. "OSCE staff members alongside DPR militia fighters have been shelled."

No casualties have been reported, according to preliminary information.
