Donetsk republic says intensity of Kiev forces’ shelling declines

According to DPR's defense ministry, over the past 24 hours only 46 violations of silence regime were registered

MOSCOW, April 17. /TASS/. The intensity of shelling of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic carried out by the Kiev forces has declined over the past three days, the press service of the DPR’s defense ministry said on Friday.

"If three days earlier we reported some 80 violations of the silence regime per day by the Ukrainian forces, then over the past 24 hours only 46 such violations were registered," a ministry representative was quoted by the Donetsk news agency as saying.

Over the past 24 hours, the shelling targeted the Oktyabrskaya coal mine, the Donetsk airport area, the Volvo-Center and the settlements of Spartak, Zhabichevo and Gorlovka.

"There are no casualties among the militias," the press service said.

The Ukrainian military operation headquarters said the Donbas militias shelled 15 times the positions of the Kiev forces on Thursday between 6.00 p.m. and until midnight.
