Over 2,000 schoolchildren from Donbass to vacation in Crimea in summer - DPR ministry

MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. Russia is ready to provide an opportunity for schoolchildren from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to spend their summer vacation in Crimea, DPR Education Minister Igor Kostenok said Tuesday.

"The talk is about 2,000-2,500 of our schoolchildren, who will spend holidays on the Black Sea coast," the Donetsk News Agency quoted Kostenok as saying.

Crimea reunified with Russia after a referendum held on March 16, 2014, in which 96.77% of Crimeans and 95.6% of Sevastopol voters chose to secede from Ukraine and join the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the reunification deals March 18, 2014.

Work to integrate the Crimean Peninsula into Russia’s economic, financial, credit, legal, state power, military conscription and infrastructure systems has been actively underway since Crimea acceded to the Russian Federation.
