MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. A journalist of Russia's Zvezda TV channel was blown on a tripwire near east Ukraine's Shirokino village, the Donetsk News Agency reported Tuesday.

"The incident occurred during the trip of OSCE [Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] and JCCC [Joint Center for Control and Coordination] representatives to Shirokino. A Zvezvda journalist was inspecting the ruins, when he stumbled upon a tripwire that exploded. The TV channel journalist sustained serious injuries," the agency said.

The journalist is receiving first aid, an ambulance has arrived at the scene, the agency added. The name of the journalist and the severity of his injuries are yet unknown.

The settlement of Shirokino, located between Mariupol and Novoazovsk controlled by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), is one of the most tense areas of the contact line. Four JCCC observation posts are set up in Shirokino.
