MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Kiev’s military and militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) were engaged in fighting near the Donetsk airport overnight to April 12, the DPR Defense Ministry reported on Sunday.
"Today, on this holy night, two infantry companies of Ukraine’s military launched an attack on the settlement of Zhabunki on the outskirts of the Donetsk airport. A direct combat engagement took place and the attack was thwarted. There are no casualties among our servicemen," the DPR Defense Ministry said.
Meanwhile, the headquarters of Kiev’s military operation in the country’s east claimed earlier on Sunday that the army’s positions had been shelled 18 times on Saturday evening and night.
