OTTAWA, April 12. /TASS/. An Air Canada flight from Germany’s Frankfurt to Toronto was forced to make a landing at Shannon airport in Ireland after an 87-old woman caused a disturbance aboard the Boeing 777 plane carrying 211 passengers, the local media reported.
The old lady who was travelling in First Class started a brawl when the passenger jet was flying over the Atlantic. The reports said the angry old lady assaulted a crew member, after which the crew commander made a decision to divert the flight and make an unplanned landing at Shannon airport.
After the plane touched down, the local police took the old lady into custody.
After an unplanned landing in Ireland, the airliner safely arrived at its destination point. None of the crew members was hurt in the incident, the local media reported.
