Shootout between Afghan troops and NATO forces leaves two people dead

According to reports, one US soldier and one Afghan national army military were killed in the skirmish, 5 more people were injured

ABU DHABI, April 8. /TASS/. Two people have been killed in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Nangarhar in a shootout between government troops and NATO forces on Wednesday.

According to the coalition forces command, one US soldier was killed in the skirmish. The Afghan police said a national army soldier had been killed as well. Five more people were wounded, including two Americans.

The skirmish broke out in the fortified residence of the province’s governor. The motive for the shootout was not immediately known.
