UNITED NATIONS, April 2. /TASS/. At the moment the United Nations is not planning to convene a conference to raise funds for Ukraine, although funding to finance operations in the country is seriously low, UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq told reporters on Wednesday.
He said in the meantime the United Nations was urging countries to increase contributions for financing humanitarian operations in Ukraine, adding that a donor conference could be convened if the Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said it was necessary .
A report of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Monday said funding continued to remain seriously low, with only 16% of the sum required for Ukraine in 2015 funded or pledged.
