ASTANA, April 1. /TASS/. Hungary is a potential key player in driving partnership between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, a leading Central Asian diplomat said on Wednesday.
Hungary could become "a bridge for fence-mending between the two unions", Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov told Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Peter Szijjarto, a Kazakh Foreign Ministry statement said.
Szijjarto was in the Kazakh capital unveiling a joint $40-million investment fund against the backcloth of an official visit by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Developments reflected political dialogue already "at the top level", the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
