LAUSANNE, April 1. /TASS/. Iran and the six world powers (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) assume that the document on the political framework of the future final agreement on the Iranian nuclear program will be prepared by the end of the day, a high-ranking diplomat involved in the negotiations told TASS on Wednesday.
"As the meetings continue we can say that the document will be worked out before the end of the day," he said. "Agreements have been reached and now they should be ‘packaged.’"
A high-ranking diplomat told TASS that the sides are working on a political statement containing some two pages.
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday noted that "substantial progress on key issues" has been reached at talks on Tehran’s nuclear program.
UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said considerable progress has been made at talks on Tehran’s nuclear program between Iran and the Sextet.
"I think we have a broad framework of understanding, but there are still some key issues that have to be worked through," Hammond said.
