Armenian parliament speaker says Armenia-Russia relations are at high level

The strategic partnership between Yerevan and Moscow relies not only on mutually beneficial cooperation, but also on centuries-long friendship, Speaker of Armenia’s parliament Galust Saakyan says

YEREVAN, March 30. /TASS/. Speaker of Armenia’s parliament, Galust Saakyan, said on Monday Armenian-Russian relations are at a high level.

"Today, we can say it confidently that Armenian-Russian relations are at a high level and continue to develop in an atmosphere of mutual trust," he said at a meeting with visiting speaker of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house Sergey Naryshkin.

"The allied, strategic partnership between Armenia and Russia relies not only on mutually beneficial cooperation, but also on centuries-long friendship, cultural and spiritual kinship of the two brotherly nations," Saaryan said.

He commended "Russia’s role in ensuring regional security and in the process of the settlement of the Karabakh conflict in particular."
