KUWAIT CITY, March 26. /TASS/. Supporters of Yemen’s President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi have recaptured Aden airport from Houthi rebels, Sky News Arabia said on Thursday.

Pro-government forces launched an operation on regaining control of the air hub. With the support from Saudi Arabia’s aviation, they forced fighters of the 39th mechanized brigade that sided with the Houthi rebels, to retreat. Reports say that one person died and three more people were injured in the pro-government forces.

Saudi Arabia delivered targeted air strikes at Houthi positions in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital, and other cities on the order from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Saudi aviation also delivered a strike at the Al Anad air base, which was earlier seized by rebels who launched an offensive at Aden located 60 kilometers from the base.
