MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. A parade of military hardware celebrating victory in World War II will be held in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk on May 9, the culture minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Paretsky, said on Thursday.
Several venues have been chosen in the city for celebrations, including the Donbas Liberators Memorial, the central square and the central Shcherbakov Park, the minister was quoted by the Donetsk News Agency as saying.
According to Paretsky, the republic has been preparing for the celebrations for a year. The culture ministry has published a calendar of events taking place in the republic during celebrations marking victory over Nazi Germany.
