Nine Latin American countries call for US to stop aggression against Venezuela

MEXICO CITY, March 18. /TASS/. Member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) have expressed support for Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro amid US threats and called for Washington to stop aggression against the government and the people of Venezuela, representatives of ALBA member states announced after a meeting in Caracas on Tuesday.

Earlier, the leader of the Bolivarian republic Nicolas Maduro sharply criticized Washington’s move to impose sanctions against seven government officials in Venezuela, adding that President Obama wanted to leave a sad legacy behind him, the same as Richard Nixon and George W.Bush. "That’s how he will be remembered for his actions", Maduro said. He also voiced the conviction that the real threat to ordinary Americans came from the US president and his administration, who carried out "invasions, murders and financed terrorism" in various parts of the world.
