WASHINGTON, March 12. /TASS/. Germany is categorically against supplying weapons to Kiev, Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said at Washington’s Center for Strategic and International Studies on Thursday.
"We cannot simultaneously apply different strategies," Steinmeier said adding that the West had to continue pressuring Russia politically and economically so as to assist in resolving the internal armed conflict in Ukraine.
Steinmeier is certain that weapons deliveries to Ukraine are fraught with further escalation of the crisis and might bring about such developments that the Western countries would be incapable to control the situation.
