MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. The self-defense forces of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) should get an opportunity to fit into peaceful life of the republic and gradually take leadership positions, chairman of the DPR people’s council Andrey Purgin said on Tuesday.
"The self-defense forces, all those people who fought, should now fit into the peaceful life, these people should not be thrown away. They are the people who should gradually come to lead our state," the Donetsk News Agency quoted Purgin as saying.
Representatives of the self-defense forces "who basically made our revolution, who fought for our freedom" should become "the political class" of the DPR and take over leadership positions from the old Ukrainian authorities.
