Russia supports UN Security Council resolution on inadmissibility of chlorine use in Syria

The resolution was supported by 14 countries, including Russia, Venezuela abstained

UNITED NATIONS, March 6. /TASS/. The United Nations Security Council on Friday passed a resolution on inadmissibility of the use of chlorine and other poisonous substances in combat operations in Syria.

The document provides for possible introduction of measures under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter in case such incidents reoccur.

The resolution was supported by 14 countries, including Russia. Venezuela abstained.
