EU considers Russia 'neighbor of neighbors' — EU foreign policy chief

Talking about relations with Russia, Mogherini said EU intends to develop relations with "neighbors of our neighbors" and that European neighborhood policy is not directed against them

BRUSSELS, March 4. /TASS/. The European Union (EU) considers Russia to be "a neighbor of our neighbors," EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said on Wednesday.

Talking about relations with Russia, Mogherini said EU intends to develop relations with "neighbors of our neighbors" and that European neighborhood policy is not directed against them.

Along with that, Russia has land border with five EU countries — Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.
