Ukrainian leader signs decree on formation of constitutional commission

KIEV, March 3 /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree setting up a constitutional commission for developing amendments to the country’s fundamental law.

"The commission is being created to coordinate proposals for improving Ukraine’s Constitution, taking into account present day challenges and society's needs. Representatives of political and public movements and Ukrainian and foreign experts are expected to be involved in the work," the decree says.

The agreements on Ukrainian conflict settlement signed in Minsk on February 12 envisage a constitutional reform decentralizing the power in Ukraine.
