Death toll from combat actions climbs to 145 in Donetsk republic over past week

The report says that lots of killed civilians were recovered in the area of the embattled town of Debaltsevo

MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. At least 145 civilians have been killed in combat clashes over the past week, says a weekly report of the ombudsperson’s staff of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) published on Saturday.

"According to official data of the DPR Health Ministry and Forensic Agency, the death toll from combat actions in the region topped 145, with a nine-year-old child, 133 men and 11 women on the list," the Donetsk news agency said citing the report.

As many as 58 people have been hospitalised with bullet and shrapnel wounds.

The report says that lots of killed civilians were recovered in the area of the embattled town of Debaltsevo.

"The people were found not only on battlefields but in their own homes," the report reads.
