TSCKHINVAL, February 19. /TASS/. South Ossetia on Thursday delivered food assistance to thousands of Ukrainian refugees who fled from their war-torn country into the bordering Rostov region in southern Russia, the republic’s deputy prime minister said.
Trucks carrying humanitarian aid brought bedding items, clothes and mineral water produced in the republic, Erik Pukhayev told TASS.
This is already the second batch of humanitarian aid from South Ossetia for Ukrainian refugees. The first consignment was sent last summer.
