Donetsk officials say Kiev’s provocations against OSCE monitors not ruled out

MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Authorities of the self-proclaimed unrecognized Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) do not rule out a possibility of provocations on the part of pro-Kiev armed forces against members of the monitoring mission of the European security organization OSCE who are deployed on the DPR territory, Eduard Basurin, a spokesman for the republic’s Defence Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Intensification of activity of pro-Kiev reconnaissance and subversion groups has been noted in all areas and we don’t rule out provocations on their part against the members of the special monitoring mission of the OSCE who’re doing their job on the territory of our republic," Basurin said.

He said the pro-Kiev units continued shelling the area of what was left of the former Donetsk international airport and fire was delivered from position in the townships of Vidnoye and Opytnoye.

Along with it, Ukrainian Army units did not show any noticeable activity in the area of Mariupol, Basurin said.
