Putin holding talks with Hungarian president

BUDAPEST, February 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is on a working visit to Hungary on Tuesday, is meeting with Hungary’s President Janos Ader.

The talks are attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

At a news conference earlier on Tuesday, Putin said he would personally invite his Hungarian counterpart to attend celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War in Moscow.

Putin, who opened a memorial to Soviet soldiers who died during liberation of Hungary in Budapest, thanked "Hungarian friends for careful attitude towards the memory of those events, for their taking care of the graves of Soviet soldiers and officers.".
