BEIJING, February 16. /TASS/. China is calling on the sides in the Ukrainian conflict to observe the achieved agreements and the ceasefire, spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying said on Monday.
"China appreciates the mediation efforts from leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine for a political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine," the diplomat said.
"We support and are calling on all the sides to undertake constructive efforts to observe the agreements and, in particular, the agreement on ceasefire, reached in Minsk, to support political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine for the soonest restoration of peace and stability in the country’s east," the spokesperson said.
