MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Creating an Asian analogue of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is impossible, Bakhtiyer Khakimov, the Russian president's special representative at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), head of the Department of Asian and Pacific Cooperation at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on Friday.
"Such a format is impossible because Asia is so large and there are so many multilateral regional associations," Khakimov noted. "However, the task to coordinate the efforts of such multilateral organizations is more plausible as now, at every platform, the key issue is this: ‘let’s make reassessments, let’s analyze where we are going and what we are gathering for’," he added.
