PYONGYANG, February 12. /TASS/. South Korea should "reduce its dependence on the United States and should take steps jointly with North Korea to independently unite the Fatherland," a representative of the North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland said in a statement published in local newspapers on Thursday.

South Korean authorities "are facing a prospect of an ignominious end if they reproduce blindly the US Administration’s policy aimed at undermining peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula," the statement says.

North Korea "has gotten access to compact and high precision nuclear means so as to win a decisive victory in confrontation with the United States in its territory," the representative said.

The committee warned that if Seoul continues to participate in initiated by the US military provocations "with the aim to strangle the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)," it [Seoul] "will become a target for a revenge strike from Pyongyang, too."
