MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The prisoner exchange between the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Kiev troops is not expected on Wednesday due to Kiev’s "bureaucratic delays," the DPR’s human rights commissioner has said.
"The prisoner exchange will not take place today," Daria Morozova was quoted by the Donetsk news agency as saying. "The reason is in the bureaucratic delays as is usual in case of a swap," she said.
"The bureaucratic wheels go around not as quickly as we want to," Morozova said.
She added that there is "nothing unusual in this" and Ukraine is a big state and it always has various problems when "one prisoner has not arrived and another one is on his way."
The date of the next prisoner exchange is still unclear, but it is expected in the near future, she said.
The previous official swap was on February 5.
