Kiev accepts militias’ proposal to let civilians leave Debaltsevo — DPR Defense Ministry

The Ukrainian side has agreed to a proposal that DPR will open a safe corridor for the local population who wants to leave Debaltsevo, a spokesperson for the DPR Defense Ministry says

MOSCOW, February 5 /TASS/. Kiev has accepted a militias’ proposal to let civilians to leave the town of Debaltsevo, Eduard Basurin, a spokesperson for the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic told a briefing at the Donetsk News Agency press center on Thursday.

"The Ukrainian side has agreed to a proposal that our side will open a safe corridor for the local population who wants to leave Debaltsevo. The residents of Debaltsevo who want to go to the DPR will have this opportunity," Basurin said adding that the militias would provide civilian buses for this purpose.

"The same kind of civilian buses will move in the direction of Artyomovsk controlled by the Ukraine army. So, the people will have a choice," Basurin stressed.
