KIEV, January 26. /TASS/. As many as 184 Ukrainian servicemen are being kept in captivity by militia in the war-torn Ukrainian industrial area of Donbas, the country’s General Staff said on Monday.
“According to official reports, 184 servicemen are being kept in captivity,” Ukrainian news agency UNIAN quoted spokesman to Ukraine’s General Staff Vladislav Seleznev as saying at a news briefing in Ukraine’s capital Kiev on Monday.
All Ukrainian servicemen who surrender to Donbas militia are being given medical aid, spokesman for the defense ministry in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Eduard Basurin said on Sunday.
