12th humanitarian convoy to be formed for Donbas — Russian Emergencies Ministry

The care packages will consist of food, medical supplies, necessities to ensure stable function of energy facilities and important social structures

MOSCOW, January 23. /TASS/ Russian Emergencies Ministry started to form the 12th humanitarian convoy for Donbas residents, the organization said on Friday.

"Russian Emergencies Ministry is putting together another motorcade that will take the humanitarian aid to Donbas. The dates are being finalized," they said.

Part of the motorcade will come from the Noginsky emergencies ministry center; others will come from various Russian regions.

Earlier, Emergencies Ministry head Vladimir Puchkov said that the 12th convoy will be sent as soon as it is ready. He explained that the care packages are formed based on the requests from the local government, and first and foremost, the humanitarian aid will consist of food, medical supplies, necessities to ensure stable function of energy facilities and important social structures.

Majority of the previous 11 humanitarian convoys consisted of food and medicines. So far, since August of 2014, Russia has sent over 14,800 tons of humanitarian aid to Donbas.
