DONETSK, January 22. /TASS/. Head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko has unilaterally handed over to the Ukrainian security forces three prisoners of war, the Donetsk news agency reported on Thursday.
The handover was held at the local airport area. A colonel of the armed forces of Ukraine that took part in the handover refused to be identified and talk to reporters.
Eight bodies of Ukrainian soldiers who were killed at the airport were also handed over to Kiev. Representatives of the DPR people’s militia said there were more bodies of Ukrainian military at the airport’s new terminal building on the third and fourth floors. However, they cannot be retrieved so far as the terminal’s upper levels are under constant shelling of the Ukrainian armed forces.
