KIEV, January 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Cabinet asked parliament to increase the total number of servicemen by 68,000 up to 250,000, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at a government meeting on Wednesday.
“The Cabinet proposes in parliament a bill for a larger total numerical strength (of Ukrainian armed forces). We are planning 250,000, it is 68,000 more than now,” the premier said, urging lawmakers to consider this bill urgently.
Meanwhile, he noted that “90 billion hryvnias ($5.6 billion) are envisaged” in the state budget for this step.
