5 civilians killed in shelling in east Ukraine over past 24 hours — DPR Defense Ministry

DONETSK, January 21. /TASS/. Five civilians have been killed and 13 wounded in shelling in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours, spokesman for the DPR Defense Ministry Eduard Basurin said on Wednesday.

There are two children among the wounded, Basurin said.

The intensity of shelling has been reduced, he said.

Ukrainian security forces shelled the positions 13 times overnight and 36 times over the past 24 hours, Basurin said.

“The intensity of shelling has been reduced, but the fighting continues practically along all line of contact,” he said.
