2 killed, 16 wounded in shelling of Gorlovka by Ukrainian troops

Mayor of Gorlovka Oleg Gubanov said that the town’s infrastructure had been seriously damaged in shelling

DONETSK, January 18. /TASS/. Two persons were killed and another 16 people were wounded in shelling of the town of Gorlovka in eastern Ukraine by the Kiev troops, Mayor of Gorlovka Oleg Gubanov said on Sunday.

“Gorlovka has been continuously shelled for 24 hours. Today, a shell hit a bus stop in the centre of the town. According to preliminary data, two persons were killed and 16 more were wounded,” the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as saying.

Gubanov also said that the town’s infrastructure had been seriously damaged in shelling. “More than 70 boiler houses were damaged. There is no electricity in more than half of the town as shells hit electricity substations and transmission lines,” he said.
