EU foreign ministers to discuss relations with Russia in Brussels on January 19

This was announced by Federica Mogherini, the EU foreign affairs and security service chief, after her talks with Charles Flanagan, the Irish minister of foreign affairs and trade

DUBLIN, January 12 /TASS/. The EU-Russia relations will be the key item on the agenda of a meeting of the EU foreign ministers who are going to gather in Brussels on January 19 for the first time this year, Federica Mogherini, the EU foreign affairs and security service chief, said after talks with Charles Flanagan, the Irish minister of foreign affairs and trade, on Monday.

Touching upon the situation in eastern Ukraine, she noted that all the parties in the Ukraine conflict should strictly adhere to the terms of the Minsk agreements.

The situation may develop positively but for the moment it’s just a possibility which should become a reality, Mogherini stressed. She said it was still unclear whether the Normandy quartet was going to meet in Astana on January 15 because that would depend on how the situation would develop in the next few days.
