KIEV, January 12. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Armed Forces will take part in 11 international exercises in 2015, assistant to the Ukrainian defense minister, Viktoria Kushnir, said on Monday.
Seven exercises will take place abroad and four maneuvres will be held in Ukraine, she said.
“These exercises will complete a stage of combat training of troops that facilitate the implementation of NATO standards,” Kushnir said.
The biggest Ukrainian-US Navy exercises (Sea Breeze) and the ground troops (Rapid Trident) maneuvres will be held on the territory of Ukraine. The Navy Trident Juncture exercises will be held abroad, she said.
The Verkhovna Rada’s approval is indispensable to conduct joint maneuvres in Ukraine's territory. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is expected to submit a draft law.
