French embassy in Moscow thanks all Russians for support after terror attack

The embassy is “sincerely grateful to all Russians, both ordinary citizens and officials, who have been coming to the embassy building to express their solidarity with the people of France”

MOSCOW, January 8. /TASS/. The French embassy in Moscow is grateful to all Russians for support expressed in the wake of Wednesday’s terrorist attack in Paris that claimed 12 lives, the embassy’s media counsellor, Madeleine Courant, told TASS on Thursday.

“President Francois Hollande has declared three-day mourning,” Courant said. “The state flags at all French missions around the world are flying at half-mast. On Friday noon, all government offices in France observed a moment of silence.”

The embassy is “sincerely grateful to all Russians, both ordinary citizens and officials, who have been coming to the embassy building to express their solidarity with the people of France.”

“Also, we thank all who offered their condolences on the embassy’s pages in the social networks,” Courant said. “The president said the French people must rally together in the face of this barbaric terrorist act. Freedom will always be stronger than barbarity.”.
