Seven-year-old girl survives Kentucky plane crash, four killed

NEW YORK, January 3. /TASS/. A seven-year-old girl survived a small plane crash in the southwestern part of the US state of Kentucky that killed three other passengers and a pilot, the local police reported late on Friday.

The little girl walked away from the plane wreckage to the closest residence to report the plane crash, the police said.

The rescuers summoned by local residents found the bodies of three passengers and a pilot at the crash site.

An investigation into the causes of the air crash is under way. According to preliminary data, the Piper PA-34 plane crashed due to an engine failure.

The girl was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
