Donetsk to lift curfew for New Year

DONETSK, December 26. /TASS/. Curfew will be lifted in the city of Donetsk from December 31 to January 3, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic said on Friday.

Alexander Zakharchenko told the Donetsk news agency that three days would be enough to celebrate the New Year.

The republic's national security chief, Alexander Khodakovsky, said earlier that the authorities will step up security measures during the New Year celebrations.
