BRUSSELS, December 18. /TASS/. Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has urged revision of the West’s attitude to Russia.

Russia should be plugged into addressing major international issues. Embattled Russia will benefit no one,’ Renzi said upon his arrival in Brussels for an EU summit.

The Italian prime minister opposed the idea of more sanctions against Russia.

“In relations with Russia we stick to our customary stance. We should give up faith in the magic power of the policy that has been conducted for the past few months. The attitude to Russia must be reconsidered and the attitude that has prevailed so far must be changed.”
