KIEV, December 12. /TASS/. Ukraine is expected to receive a status of an ally of the United States in a few months, First Vice-Speaker Andriy Parubiy said on Friday.
The Verkhovna Rada (parliament) should start the next week with an address to the US Congress to demonstrate Ukraine’s political will to get the status, he told reporters, adding that an agreement should be signed on the foreign ministerial level between Ukraine and the United States.
“I hope it will happen in several months,” he said.
