Armed conflict in east Ukraine left 5,000 dead, 10,000 injured — Investigative Committee

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. The armed conflict in eastern Ukraine has left 5,000 dead and 10,000 injured, the chief of the Investigative Committee’s department for the investigation of crimes involving the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, Alexander Drymanov, said on Thursday.

“At this moment, according to our statistics, confirmed by the United Nations some 5,000 were killed in the armed conflict and more than 10,000 others suffered injuries of varying gravity,” Drymanov said at a meeting of the committee for public support for Ukraine’s south-east.
