TEL AVIV, December 2 /TASS/. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that he wanted to dissolve parliament and hold early national elections.

“I have decided that it is necessary to hold early elections as soon as possible,” Netanyahu said in a televised address to the nation.

“Early elections are bad but a government which has ministers acting against the cabinet is worse. The incumbent government is no longer in capacity to run the state,” he said.

The Israeli parliament /Knesset/ may vote to dissolve itself on Wednesday.
