Volodymyr Groysman elected Ukraine's parliament speaker

A total of 359 Verkhovna Rada deputies voted for his candidacy

KIEV, November 27. /TASS/. Ukrainian lawmakers elected Volodymyr Groysman on Thursday the speaker of the country's parliament of the eighth convocation.

A total of 359 Verkhovna Rada deputies voted for his candidacy, while three abstained, a TASS correspondent reported.

Groysman was born in Vinnytsia on January 20, 1978. He served as Ukraine’s deputy prime minister. At the beginning of 2014, he was minister of regional development, construction and the housing and utilities sector.
