BERLIN, November 25. /TASS/. Germany will go ahead with support for Ukraine and at the same time use every opportunity for a dialogue with Russia, Chancellor Angela Merkel told parliament on Wednesday.

Merkel recalled once again that military means would fail to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.

This is the reason why Berlin believes economic and political support should be provided for Ukraine. Merkel said Germany will use all opportunities “for achieving a diplomatic solution in a dialogue with Russia,” .

According to the German Chancellor, the events in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions indicate that the situation is still very far from ceasefire.

“Thirdly, for this reason the economic sanctions are still unavoidable,” Merkel added.
